PML Construction is working with The Weitz Company as the wall and ceiling subcontractor on the Gretna Community Complex, a new civic facility being built on a 35-acre site in Gretna, Nebraska. Designed by Sinclair Hille Architects, the complex broke ground in April 2025 and is powered by a geothermal system supported by 102 wells drilled 300 feet underground for sustainable, year-round heating and cooling. PML’s scope includes cold-formed exterior metal framing, sheathing, thermal insulation, fluid-applied air barriers, and DEFS on the exterior, along with interior metal framing, gypsum board, hollow metal frame setting, firestopping and acoustical sealants, acoustical panel ceilings, suspended wood ceilings, sound-absorbing wall and ceiling units, acoustical wood paneling, and FRP. A significant portion of the exterior is being built using prefabricated wall panels assembled offsite, with CNC-cut drywall shapes and pre-made wood backing produced offsite as well. With steel arriving in December 2025 and foundation work underway, the project is currently in the active framing phase.
